After about 5 minutes her whole plate was empty. "I'm done." She grinned, she never felt this full before and licked her lips happily.

Damarious grinned. "Want more? Or are you ready to try out the new clothes you're going to get?"

They're perfect..a vampire with his human prey. He seems old tho..can I manage him? I'm not sure. But that girl... human.. I know her. It's..I need her. I must get her, before he.. the watching vampire thought, trying not to make his precene clear.

Anare got up. "I'm full." She shook her head and smiled soft. "But you seriously don't need to buy me anything.. Really!" She found herself feeling guilty always when people tend to buy her stuff.

The vampire discretely made ready to leave, payed the note and so.

Damarious grinned. "Of course! It's the least I can do for turning your live upside down..." At a moment Anare wasn't looking he looked about, sure he had felt someone watching, when he didn't see anyone he shrugged and returned to looking at Anare with a big smile. "Now where is that waiter? The sooner I pay the sooner I can take you out to get some clothes.." He said with a grin.

Anare just smiled and blushed, and walked already towards the door. "But I gotta tell ya, I am not used to have any new clothing..!" She chuckled and dissapeared outside.

The waiter came and got paid.

The vampire kept following them both outside.

Damarious grinned and rushed out after her after having paid then when he catched up with her he smirked. "Well you'd better..." He said with a mysterious smile.

The vampire decided to let them see him. "Sir?" He asked damarious and stepped forward.

Anare practicly jumped up and hid behind Damarious when she saw him.

Damarious quickly swirled around, facing the stranger. "Yes? Who do I have the pleasure of talking to?" He asked calmly.

"Areferet. Would you mind chosing another meal tonight? I need that woman." He said seriously.

Damarious looked coldly at Areferet. "I am sorry but I can not allow that... She is under my protection, in your words perhaps my servant even if that's just what she is called to keep her safe."

"Protection? Then I assume I need you too, since you wont let her go." Areferet watched him. "That is, if you are willing to coperate."

Anare blinked wondering why he needed her for.

Damarious raised an eyebrow. "And what is that that you wish me to cooperate with you about?" He asked while tilting his head slightly, curiously.

"I need her..not to harm her. I cannot talk about it here."

Anare laid her hand in Damarious' hand and clung and hid behind him.

Damarious gently squeezed her hand. "If she is okay with it, but I am not leaving her side... Or out of sight."

Areferet nodded. "Then come..I can't talk about it here."He started to walk, glancing to see if they'd come along. "I only ask for a favour, I want no harm.."

Damarious looked suspiciously at the stranger then turned to Anare. "What do you think? Want to try and come along or should we just ignore him and go shop for clothes?"

Anare stared at Areferet then at Damarious. "..We could try..?" She was curious about why she was needed so badly.

Damarious nodded and smiled gently. "Just remember that I am right here beside you... I won't let you get hurt.."

Anare just gave a faint nod and let Damarious walk before her, leaving at least someone inbetween this stranger and her, not really know if she could trust him or not, but she trusted Damarious and also that he wouldn't let her get hurt, at least not on purpose.

Damarious smiled comfortingly while patting her hand gently as he walked on, still holding on to her hand.

They reached a house and Areferet walked inside. He held the door open for them and locked it behind them. The blindfolds over the windows were permanent. "I have studied very old books and scrolls, all showing on the Pareta mystery." He started to explain. "The Paretas is vampires, but unlike me, and you I hope, they are not able to think and act normally anymore. They are more of..haunting ghosts. They have roamed this earth for thousands of years, killing people. The black death was them, and other plaughes like that. Hitler was one of them... They seem invincible. But.. there are one way to destroy them, they are seeking." The vampire took out two bottles and poured the liquid in one of them up in two glasses, of which he handed Damarious one. It was blood. The other one contained fruitjuice, and he gave that one to Anare. "Do you want something to eat?" He asked, then went to a shelf where some notebooks lied. "I've translated the scrolls and books I've found about Pareta to these books."

Damarious raised an eyebrow. "Well one thing's for sure, it would explain quite a lot... But why do you need my... Servant for?" He spat out the word like if it tasted bad, but liked the idea that he still didn't know what Anare's name was. One thing was for sure, he sure wasn't going to tell him. He still didn't trust him enough for that, yet he smiled when he accepted the blood and gently sniffed it as if he had been offered a vintage wine while he actually was scenting for any possible scents of drugs even if he doubted this person would use one that would be smelled if he did use one.

She looked at the juice for a short moment then took it gentle. She turned and looked around, listening to them, but was interested in the house aswell. She shook her head when he offered her food.

"They are seeking for something, as I said. And Anare is the only one who can lead me to it. Once I have it, I can hide it further away from them, it's indestroyable." He looked at Anare. "They are looking for you. And they do not need you alive."

Anare turned looking at him, stunned. "Why do they need me for? I am just a nothing!" She protested.

"You're one in the line of Farekrs, known since Farao walked on this earth. Your blood will find the item."

Damarious was stunned as well but just better at hiding it, he seemed just slightly interrested with the glass balancing delicately between his fingers with a raised eyebrow. "And what is this item that they're searching for then?"

"A stone..or to be more precise the rubin that sat on Farao Al-takhm's sarcofage."

"But.." She mumbled, putting the glass on a table. "I can't be.. You honestly must see me for someone else.. I can't be! Honest..!"

Damarious gently patted Anare's shoulder comfortingly. "Calm yourself dear, let's first hear all then decide if this is believeble or not... Some bits and pieces sounds familiar... I remember hearing a some of the names and that been spoken amongst my master and some of the other elders... Even if I wasn't supposed to be there."

She looked up at him then sighed and nodded, standing still, but her eyes showed that her mind was on top speed.

Areferte shrugged. "I don't have much more to come with, only that her blood will lead to the rubin."

She hid behind Damarious quickly, proberly not quick enough for a vampire but for a human she was.

"How exactly is it that her blood can lead to this rubin?" Damarious asked sligtly more suspicious.

"I'm not sure. The Paretas believe it is by killing her. But I have another theory, that she alive will find the rubin."

Damarious nodded. "Good... Becuase like said she is under my protection and I will not allow her to get harmed..."

"I have no intention in harming her." he drank some of the blood in the cup. "Not thirsty?"

She blinked quietly and turned walking about in the room.

Damarious smiled gently and took a sip. "Hehe, sorry.. Just got interrested that's all.."

"Will you help me? Or else we'll have a new black death the next decade, and it's hard enough to find food as it is."

Damarious grinned. "That is not up for me to decide." He looked to Anare with a gentle smile.

She glanced at them with her blank eyes and slowly realized that Damarious ment for her to choose. "I.. Err.."

The vampire watched her. If she wouldn't come willingly, he'd have to force her.

"I guess.. " She looked at them her hands fiddeling with her hair. "I'll do it?" SHe said quietly.

He nodded. "Perfect. You can both stay here today, I have two empty rooms. Or if you rather share the same."

She blushed and was unable to speak for a moment being. She glanced at Damarious trough the strands of her hair what he'd say.

Damarious grinned somewhat and tried to hide his embarrasment. "That depends on what she feels most safe with." He said calmly.

She twitched slightly.

The vampire shrugged. "It doesn't matter to me. Both rooms lies next to each other and have a door between them."

Damarious nodded. "Allright then, then out of decency then I think we'd better take each our."

"This way." He lead them to two rooms in the back part of the house, they had a lockable door between them and doors out to the hallway. Both were nicely made, but not much furniture in them.

Anare smiled. "Thanks." She entered the left one, leaving the man behind, closing the door behind her leaning against it she sighed soft. What kind of mess did she got into this time?

Damarious bowed gracefully before entering the room. "When is it then we need to head out or what it is we are to do?"

"Tomorrow night. I'll have the dinner ready for both of you before dusk."

Anare laid on the bed, curling up slightly, trying not to think so much.

Damarious nodded. "Allright then, see you by dusk."

The next evening, Areferet got two humans to his door, both chained and one unconcious by some drug that didn't go into the blood. He killed the other one and payed the dealer. After that he made breakfast for Anare.

Damarious woke early and got up quickly, dressing and went to check on Anare to see she still was okay.

Anare had fallen asleep, curled up under the blanket to keep herself warm.

A bell rang through the house, meant to call them for breakfast.

Damarious smiled softly then walked out of the room and to the dining hall.

Anare woke up and quickly followed after him, slightly sleep drunk still.

"Good evening." Areferet greeted them. "I've made you some breakfast Anare, I hope you like sandwiches."

She nodded hungrily. "I do." She grinned and sat down, and took one of the sandwiches nibbeling on it.

Damarious smiled gently, still beeing somewhat on his guard. "Good evening to you as well dear Areferet." He said calmly.

Areferet nodded at the unconcious body. "When you both have eaten we'll go the the Erat caves."

"Where's that?" Anare asked her mouth half full of bread, trying to swallow, talk and eat at the same time doing so, making her cough.

Damarious looked thoughtfull as he tried to remember if he had seen or heard of that place before. They sounded familiar but where or in what connection he couldn't remember.

"Some hour from here by train."

She smiled then nodded. "I hope it's not a too scary cave then.."

"I've never been there."

She nodded some. "Don't you need to eat?" She tilted her head slightly, raising her eyebrow at him, when eating the last piece of her sandwiches.

"I've eaten already. Let's go." He grabbed a dagger and went to the door.

Damarious whom had just finished the last of his "meal" wiped his mouth and nodded as he as well got up and walked up next to Anare. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked her gently.

She nodded lightly. "Yeah, I do."

The man lead them to the train and they stepped off on a station far from everything.

Damarious looked around trying to either recognize where he was or to just look out for possible dangers.

It was dark and peaceful.

Anare looked around, slightly enjoying the trip.

Damarious walked closely besides her, not willing to allow her getting hurt.

They reached the caves and Arefreret stopped for a moment, taking out his dagger and revealing an altar behind some old bushes. "Anare.. come here."

Anare stared at the dagger for a long time, then looked up at Damarious, wondering if she should.

"Come here." Areferet repeated. "It might sting a bit but I won't harm you seriously."

Damarious looked suspiciously at Areferet but remained silent and looked at Anare to see what she was going to do.

She slowly stepped forward towards him, not really sure of herself, and when she came to close she started to hesitate and step back again.

"No, come here.." Areferet got impatient. "I need some of your blood."

She shook her head, scared.

Damarious looked at Areferet with brows slightly lowered. "If she does not wish to then there is nothing you can do."

"She must! Or else it's her fault that we get a new black death in a few years!"

Anare gasped and triped as she stepped more backwards of the sudden outburst of Areferet.

Damarious growled. "No, it will be mine and your fault... Because if you try and force her I will have to kill you, or at least fight you untill both of us are dead..." He said menacingly yet very cold and calmly.

"You fool! Anare, come here! You are the only one who can stop them!" He breathed heavily, but calmed down a bit. "I swear, it will only be a small cut in your hand.. not worse than when he feeds from you.."

She stared up at him. "He never fed from me." She stood up, but now came closer. "Just a cut then.." She wasn't sure still but she didn't wanted to be the reason for the 'end of the world'.

Areferet was very surprised by that, never fed from her. But he shrugged it aside. "Just a cut, nothing worse.."

She held out her left hand, it was slightly shivvering but she kept it holding it up towards him.

Damarious calmed himself down but still kept an watchfull eye out on him.

Areferet took her wrist and held it steady while he quickly cut across her hand, letting the blood drop down on the altar. The alter cracked in two, showing a shining red stone. He stared at it amazed. "Al-takhms rubin.."

She blinked quietly. "T-that.. Was easy." She gasped soft, amazed, but held her hand close knowing what blood could do to vampires smelling it.

Damarious looked upon Areferet. "So... What to do with it now?"

"Hide it somewhere else..I will take care of that.." His fangs had indeed lengthened by smelling her blood and he licked the dagger clean before putting it back in its place. "I know what to do with it."

Damarious nodded as he tried to restrain himself from showing how he was affected by the scent of blood. "You sure you don't want our help?" He asked innocently.

"Yes, the less people knowing where it is, the better. It cannot lay in the wrong hands.."

"And yet you have no problem showing us all this, revealing how to access that one and first now you consider trying to keep it secret.." Damarious stated, partly asked Areferet.

"I needed you..only her blood could open the stone..besides, it wasn't to stay here for long.." Areferet watched him warily.

Damarious nodded. "I understand... But you do know that I do have my suspecions?"

"And what are those?"

"That perhaps your hands are the wrong ones... You have to admit, it sounds fishy."

"It's not the wrong ones..I will hide the stone. I have no use for it myself."

Anare watched them quietly, standing a bit aside, not wanting to involve anymore than she already did.

Damarious nodded. "Yes so you've told us... But you do realize that actually we have no real way of telling if that's true or not...?"

"So what are you going to do? I'm not letting the secrets of the rubin come into the hands of a vampire not even knowing the myth!"

"Ah! Not knowing and not remembering is two very different things.. If you must know then when I was told about them they where shrugged off with that it was just bedtime stories, nothing more... So of course I didn't pay much attention to it, that plus it's quite a long while since back then."

"You don't know them. And frankly, I don't trust you enough. Thanks for your help, but I have a rubin to hide, and I will do that on my own."

Damarious walked closer. "Well the problem is... I don't trust you enough with it either..."

The vampre raised his hand, summoning a chant. A red field seemed to raise from the rubin up to his hand. "Go, now."

"Let's go Damarious.." Anare mumbled backing away more, but grabing his hand along.

"Trust me, I will hide it."

Damarious nodded. "I will have to take your word for it then... But one thing you'd better remember, If you are on the wrong side then you are the first one I will kill..."

"Don't worry about that." He let the field down and turned his back on them.

Damarious nodded then turned to Anare. "Allright my dear, we're going now."

The vampire walked away.

Anare looked at him over her shoulder, but quickly turned and continued to walk away.

Damarious gently held her hand and followed her out and back to where they had gotten off the train so they could get back on.

"Do you believe him?" She mumbled getting on the train.

Damarious shrugged as he tried to find them a seat. "I am not really sure.. But I know that there is a story about the creatures he talked about and that it was connected with what humans called the plague or black death... But in what manner and that, that I can't rememeber so clearly, like I said then it was something that was just shrugged off as nonsense."

Anare offered him a free sit somewhere in the end of the wagon. "I can't believe my blood did that.." She mumbled, looking at her hand.

Damarious looked away and grinned sadly. "Think about then what some drops of my blood does when I turn someone.."

Anare looked down. "It all would be easier if I would be from the same kind as you.." She mumbled low.

Damarious shook his head. "No! Don't say that... You have no idea what it's like to feel the hunger, to be forced to feed from humans.." He held his hands infront of his face so it covered it while shaking his head. "You have no idea what it's like..."

She kneeled down before him not sure on what to do then just to hug him.

Damarious smiled gently and patted her head. "I'm okay... Just don't say that... It was hard enough having to turn Faic.."

She nodded lightly. "I won't ever bring it up.. Again." She stood up and looked outside of the window, to the dark landscapes.

Damarious smiled gently and let his hand caress her shoulder. "I didn't mean to upset you, it's just.... It's no blessing beeing a vampire... Trust me.."

She shook her head lightly. "I'm not upset.." She whispered and leaned in against his hand.

Damarious felt a shiver run down his spine at the touch and succumbing into his touch but quickly managed to calm himself and let go before he would himself succumb into his desire.

She thought she had done something wrong and just stood a fuw steps more away from him, not wanting to do something.. Wrong.

Damarious leaned back and looked up into the ceiling to calm his nerves.

She watched the changing landscape changing to mirror of lights and streets.

Damarious smiled gently. "You know what we forgot? Getting some clothes for you!" He exclaimed with a grin.

"Now?" She tilted her head, turning to face him. "But it's late, the store proberly are all closed!" She protested.

Damarious chuckled. "How do you think I get my clothing? Believe me, there is one or two other stores open still about now."

She shook her head. "I'm alright, honestly."

Damarious chuckled. "That may be but I am still going to buy you new clothing."

"Nu uh." She folded her arms her head shaking in a no.

Damarious chuckled. "Want to be carried again?"

She shook her head again. "Nope."

Damarious chuckled. "Then you'd better come along willingly."

"Ack! Alright!" She laughed low and smiled. "Fine, I'll come along. You need new clothes too.. You got blood spilled on them." She stood closer and poked the blood on his shirt. "See."

Damarious smiled. "Allright, allright."

She giggled and turned and sat down on the empty seat before him. "Where to then?" She sounded curious.

Damarious grinned. "You'll find out mon cherie."

Faic watched them both from a distance, sighing but keeping hidden.

Anare chuckled at him and nodded. "Fine then."

Damarious smiled yet couldn't help making a soft sigh.

She blinked. "What is it?" Tilting her head watching him.

Damarious shook his head. "Just wish I could have handled the situation with Faic better... I shouldn't have blown up on him like that.. Not after what I've put him through."

Anare stood up and kneeled down before him, hugging him. "It's not your fault.." She mumbled.

Damarious sighed. "Yes, it is my fault.. I should have helped him more.. I turned him, but I didn't take good enough care of him as I should have."

"He shouldn't have bitten me.. That's what he shouldn't have.." She leaned up and kissed Damarious cheek before hugging him once more and stood up, her cheeks blushing she turned away, looking outside at the lights of the city.

Damarious sighed. "Well it's not like you made it easy for him either... I might be old.. But I'm neither senile nor stupid my dear.. But enough with that.. What is done is done and can't be reversed.."

She sighed soft and nodded then whispered a soft sorry before running towards the closing doors of the train and away she was. Watching the train continue his journey. She was now somewhere on a unknown paron.

Damarious tried to get out through the doors as well, trying to bash the doors to pieces. "Stupid foolhardy human!!" He growled to himself.

Anare looked away she couldn't help liking him so much but she needed time of her own, to think. She started to run, out of the trainstation unto the streets.

Damarious gave a few last bashes then just leaned against the window in the doors and looked out, looking after her as she left, he then sighed and walked back to his seat and sat down, leaning his head backwards with a frustrated growl.

She dissapeared inbetween houses, but kept on running.

Damarious exhaled then did a few mantra tricks then shook his head. "You did it again... Let a little poor human girl in your heart... When will you learn you old fool?" He asked himself, a habbit he had picked up on his lonesome travels.
